On the last Sunday of Oregon Country Fair 2025, I spent the afternoon roaming the eight with a mobile recording rig and a sign around my neck that said “TELL ME A FAIR STORY.” I started in Spoken Word camp and made my way around from there. By the end of the day I had close to an hour of wonderful stories and a bunch of ambient sounds from Fair – and no real plan for what to do with any of it.
OCFarchive is a vision for an unofficial audio library of the Oregon Country Fair. The idea is to record as much as possible during fair – stories, voices, performances, conversations, ambient sounds, crew history and give it a place to live.
If you were recorded and interested in how this archive might grow, please get in touch. If you have recordings of your own from Fair — old or new — get in touch. If you just want to listen, welcome.
